Individual
A single individual contributing to Next Generation Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is eligible to receive a credit against his/her Georgia income tax liability in an amount equal to the amount contributed, or $1,000, whichever is less. A federal charitable income tax deduction is also available for those individual taxpayers who itemize deductions on their federal return.
Married Filing Joint
A married couple contributing to NGSF is eligible to receive a credit against their Georgia income tax liability in an amount equal to the amount contributed, or $2,500, whichever is less.
Married Filing Separately
For an individual taxpayer filing a married filing separate return, the credit is limited to the amount contributed, or $1,250, whichever is less.
Corporations
Corporations that contribute to the NGSF Scholarship Program are eligible for a credit against their Georgia income tax liability in an amount not to exceed the amount contributed, or 75 percent of the corporation’s income tax liability, whichever is less.
Contributions
Any contribution made to NGSF may be designated by the donor for use in providing scholarships to students who desire to attend one or more of our participating schools, a list of which is provided in the Schools section of our website. Once such a designated contribution is made, NGSF will obligate the contribution, less an administration fee agreed to by the participating school, for use in providing scholarships at the school.
How to Contribute
To receive the Qualified Education Expense Credit for 2011, you must send your payment to NGSF by 12-31-2011.

Please be advised that Next Generation Scholarship Foundation, Inc. ("NGSF"), a Georgia Nonprofit Corporation, is acting as a Student Scholarship Organization under O.C.G.A. § 20-2A-1, et seq. As a Student Scholarship Organization, NGSF is required by law to provide notice of the requirements of O.C.G.A. § 48-7- 29.13.
